Genesis and Revival is a the result of a project we shot in the Summer and Fall of Two Thousand Twenty-One – featuring a ton of photos and family portraits captured by Jesse Long – of a family re-union celebrating the births of grand-niece Olivia Long to parents Kim and Jesse Long and [belatedly] grand-nephew Ivan Verkennis-Babij to mother Haley Babij and her partner coupled with live video footage of the 50th Anniversary and Revival of the legendary roots-rock band Silver Hawk – featuring brother John on vocals – including a song from their performance that October at the Token Lounge in Westland.
Check out Silver Hawk’s Facebook Page for the latest news on future performances.
There were a lot of people involved – some of whom we hadn’t seen in quite awhile so as is usual with such re-unions it was a very special occasion to say the very least.
And also as usual we elected to append an “Easter Egg” clip at the very end of the show after the titles that contains dialogue the may not be suitable for all audiences — so Parents Beware.
