Foehn Trio – named after an ancestral wind that carries currents of sand from the Sahara to the mountains of the Alps – feature compositions alive with polyrhythms and intricate harmonies tinged with pop colors. The group are at the forefront of a new wave of contemporary jazz inspired by such artists as Esbjorn Svenson, Anne Paceo, GoGo Penguin, Shaï Maestro and Tigran Hamasyan. “Danse Pour Gaia” is taken from a recent album “Magnesie” recorded at the House of Artists.
