Байка are fables or short stories, an oral or written history passed on from one generation to the next – a living record of life’s experiences and lessons kept alive by word of mouth. Байка (pronounced “bike ah”) are in part yarns based on memory mixed with a dash of fiction liberally seasoned with myth.
